Most creators abandon their newsletters because the manual curation of links and articles takes hours every week. The alternative seems to be expensive automation platforms that eat into your margins before you even have a subscriber list. We set out to build a streamlined curation pipeline using only free-tier accounts and zero code.
Connecting the data pipelines
We linked a simple RSS reader to a free automation database that captures interesting articles throughout the week. By setting up strict filters, we ensured that only high-quality, relevant links are stored. This eliminated the need to manually copy and paste URLs into a drafting document every Thursday night.
Formatting without manual intervention
The captured links are automatically structured into a clean markdown template using a free scripting tool. This draft is then pushed directly to our email service provider as a pending campaign. All that is left for the editor to do is write the personalized intro paragraph and hit send.
The final cost breakdown
This system handles up to one thousand subscribers and four mailings a month without costing a single dollar. By refusing to pay for features you do not yet need, you preserve your capital for high-impact tools that directly drive revenue.
